When was the last time you changed your deodorant or shampoo brand? I know shopping stinks especially when you have no clue what works and what doesn’t. Some men’s grooming product scents are way over the top – so much that you start to offend the people around you! I personally lean on the wisdom of amazing chemists who develop great products and personally try different brands to figure out what will work with my body chemistry. However, I must be visually attracted to the product on the shelf, to even know if I want to smell it.
The team at American Deodorant developed two men’s Battle Ready Grooming Line’s, Grenade and Wingman, that can handle you at your worst stink. Grenade has a product line up of 3, Havoc, Patriot and Recon while Wingman Sage is an All Natural Men’s line No Aluminum, 100% Vegan and all Made in the USA.
It was time for a packaging re-brand and Paper Roo Package Design and Branding was up for the Men’s Grooming Challenge. Initially we began our journey together reviewing their current packaging and evaluating the direction of the brand, which ultimately started on a new path towards a more millennial look for the entire Grenade and Wingman Men’s Grooming Line. We took old concepts and turned them into a more cohesive color pallet adding grunge textures and worn fonts for their Deodorant, Body Wash and the 2-IN-1 shampoo and conditioner. Each of the product lines will be sold individually or as a 3 Pack depending upon the retailer.

The old grenade shaped deodorant was a hit among young males. However, not so great on the shelf. The product overall took up more space on the shelf then retailers wanted resulting in a total redesign of the tooling mold.
