A Complete Day – Mighty Leaf Tea

Mighty Leaf Tea, Tea, Structural Design, Design, Package Design, Packaing, dielines, artwork, graphic design, graphic package design, 3D design, CAD, food manufacturing, “One of the things that brings my day together, other then my dog, is my Mighty Leaf Tea. A guy I worked with, in my previous life, got me hooked on this brand and I cant seem to shake it. A very cute story of a husband and wife, Gary Shinner and Jill Portman, who started the company gives me even more of a reason to continue with this tea drinking journey. The Organic Mint Melange is my current obsession; after I just ended my month long of drinking the Vanilla Bean. Each flavor is so well developed. The Vanilla Bean has such a soothing creamy taste that you do not need to add creamer or milk. The Mint is very soothing which makes me feel calm all day long. AND… I adore the fact that you can use the tea pouch more then once!  🙂

Packaging Review: As a Commercial Package Designer, I need to give constructive criticism: The structure can use a bit of work in the dispenser. The perforation needs a thumb notch so that when you poke through the box, the panel on the front can easily be removed and discarded. However, I do like the fact that it is not a dispenser door. The can be very complicated and more times then ever they do not function properly, leaving the consumer frustrated. And we all know, when a consumer is frustrated, they take it out on the brand!  Overall, I like the design – Its not overly busy or complicated. Typography is simple, a san serif which makes it easy to read and appealing to the eye.

Word to the wise, drink Mighty Leaf!!”
