Stover Shop Greenhouses is a family owned farm from the East Coast specializing is hydroponic lettuce. They have spent a better part of two years updating their packaging for the upcoming launch into the Whole Foods Markets, which a year ago came to a stand still.
The owner came to us for some help. Their designer had left the project due to personal reasons and asked if we would finish up. Originally, they were focusing on a food safe wax coated paperboard insert that would wrap around the lettuce from the inside and then be placed into a clear clam shell container. Recently, the company purchased their own labeling equipment from Weber Packaging and asked us to change the design from paper board to a clear label. This was our opportunity to change the design from the old dark colors to something a bit more eye catching.
They provided us with the label measurements, printing capabilities and we ran with it. After getting to know the family we decided illustrations and bight pops of color is exactly what Stovers is all about. Here is the final design that is currently running on the press ready to be put on the clam shells.
